special type of isochela with plate like alae. The alae and the shaft are internally ornamented by radial ridges. They resemble halved placochelas and like these spicules occur exclusively in the genus Guitarra . They also resemble coelodischelas of the genus Coelodischela , but differ in having only a single shaft linking the discs.
